Holly's Surgery

So one of the best things about working at a vet office is discounted services!! I decided last week that Holly's breath REALLY stank plus she had an old dog fatty lump on one side that troubled me a little so why not get her teeth cleaned and get the lump removed all at the same time; what a fabulous idea!!

Yesterday I took in my poor puppy, little did she know what was in store. She was so excited to go in the clinic. She loves seeing everyone, smelling just about everything, and chasing the cat around. But as I told her to come back to the kennels with me, she knew something was up and refused to go back with me. So having to drag her back there did not make me feel any better about the whole thing.

Our vets are awesome. Dr. Shawcroft performed the surgery and he took his time making sure it stitched back together perfectly. Then after the surgery and before we left for the day, he checked to make sure there was no swelling.

She was so tired and loopy when we got home. Silly dog! But after some much needed sleep last night, she is back to her old self; meeting everyone at the door and movin' 100 miles an hour.

Her insicion looks bad, does it? But she's all good and her teeth are the whitest I have ever seen on a dog. Thank you Upper Valley Vet Clinic!!
